Andrei Deiu
Born in Romania, Andrei confesses he found himself in a ‘predicament’ in his early teenage years; regularly bingeing and playing video games while letting his health slip. The 26-year-old even admits he experienced bullying because of his weight, which he recalls as being the catalyst for his dramatic turnaround. “Instead of running and hiding, I took to the gym”, he said. Just years later at the age of 17, Andrei flew out to Miami to compete in his first fitness competition – sporting a mind-boggling physique for a competitor of his age and experience. Since then, his rise has been nothing short of meteoric, going from strength to strength in every competition he’s flexed his guns in since. Andrei most recently competed in the 2021 Mr Olympia – the pinnacle of men’s bodybuilding – and is ranked 7th in the world. At 5ft11, he’s got a compact physique which makes his muscles look like breezeblocks under his shirt and has become famous for his sleeve-busting arms – which measure in at 18.9-inches pre-pump. Under the stewardship of 20-time Mr Olympia champion and competitive weightlifting legend, Hany Rambod, we’re sure there’s more to come from the Romanian powerhouse.

While he was permanently settled in the United Kingdom, Andei’s fame has seen him travel around the globe as a model and influencer. Since becoming the face of BohooMan Active and co-founding clothing label Strutt, he’s been spotted in beauty spots across Bali and Australia in more casual clothing than we’re used to seeing him. A keen businessman, the man-mountain also runs his own training platform, 3D Gains, while repping Evogen Nutrition as their main brand ambassador. Despite racking up the air miles, Andrei confesses Dubai is the city which he calls home when it comes to putting in that grind.
