Popular YouTuber Jesse James West put his pranking skills to the test when he used fake plates to try and trick well-known Larry Wheels into thinking that he was stronger than he actually was.
Jesse sneakily brings in some fake plates, which are lighter than they say they are. Oblivious to his prank, Larry Wheels watches on and coaches Jesse through the 3 main compounds – squat, deadlift, and bench.
Because the plates are lighter than Larry thinks, Jesse has to be careful and must use his acting skills to try and make each ‘heavy’ lift look realistic.
Unsurprisingly, Larry is impressed with Jesse who only weighs 185lbs when he subsequently manages a fake ‘500lb’ squat, ‘675lb’ deadlift, and ‘365lb’ bench.
Although he seems suspicious, Larry doesn’t seem to notice the fake weights and Jesse seems to get through all three lifts without any doubtful comments from Larry. It’s not until Jesse fails his ‘405lb’ bench and asks for Larry’s help that Larry realises that the plates aren’t as heavy as they are supposed to be.
Nice try Jesse!
