What is the HYROX Race?
It’s already starting to feel like 2025 belongs to HYROX. This action-packed race format is taking over the fitness world, with everyone talking about it, and TikTok flooded with shirtless athletes sprinting, jumping, and hauling through intense warehouse-style courses.
So, what exactly is HYROX? It’s an 8km race designed to test both strength and endurance. The course consists of eight functional workout stations, each separated by a 1km run.
The stations feature challenges like the 1,000m SkiErg, 100 wall balls, a 50m sled push, and a 50m sled pull. Athletes can compete individually, in pairs, or as part of a relay team, making it a fun and inclusive challenge that anyone can take on. Well, almost anyone.
HYROX’s success has been so massive that brands are lining up to partner with them. Collaborations with Puma, Built for Athletes, and MyProtein have already covered everything from HYROX shoes to backpacks and supplements.
The race calendar has expanded dramatically, with events now taking place in major cities around the world – and, of course, HYROX Abu Dhabi is part of the action.

Registration for HYROX Abu Dhabi is now open, with tickets available for both participants and spectators. Prices vary depending on the category you choose to enter.
A spot in the HYROX Relay costs US$84.99, while the doubles category is priced at US$124.99.
