“Coolest Class in Dubai”: GymNation’s Clever Answer to the Heatwave
Temperatures are set to skyrocket in Dubai, with July typically bringing highs of around 42°C and stifling humidity to match.
Staying active when the mercury climbs isn’t for the faint-hearted. Even the best air conditioning can only do so much to hold back the City of Gold’s sweltering summer heat.
GymNation has responded to the impending spike by launching what it’s calling the coolest class in Dubai.
This ingenious creation lets gym-goers train harder than ever by fusing HIIT-style exercises with cold-based challenges.
Five movements make up the class, each with its own icy nickname. Here’s what’s on offer:
- Blizzard Sprints — Treadmill runs against giant fans
- Polar Push — Sled pushes with ice blocks
- Frosted Reps — Squats using ice-packed weighted vests
- Glacier Grip Challenge — Ice bucket bicep curls and lunges
- Arctic Cyclone — Assault bike sprints
Once the lactic acid is pumping and the sweat has been replaced by chills, attendees can hit GymNation’s Chill Zone Recovery — a post-workout ice bath provided by KULA Recovery.
“While the city sizzles outside, we’re flipping the script in here,” read the pun-laden announcement.
“Ready to crush it like a snowstorm in the desert?”

GymNation has long been dubbed The People’s Gym, and experiences like this make it easy to see why.
The class doesn’t just cool — it kickstarts recovery, thanks to the inclusion of the ice bath at the end.
Studies show that working out in the cold can bring a host of health benefits, including increased calorie burn, stronger immunity, improved cardiovascular health, and a boost in mood.
This is, without doubt, the coolest class in Dubai — in every sense of the word.
There are currently six GymNation gyms across Dubai: Al Quoz, Bur Dubai, Downtown Dubai, Mirdif, Motor City, and Silicon Oasis.
The class will only be available at GymNation’s Motor City base throughout July. A link to book can be found on the group’s Instagram page.
GymNation is the fastest-growing fitness brand in the Middle East. It recently opened its largest facility to date — a 77,000 sq ft flagship in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.
