Build Lean Muscle Thanks To MuscleTech Nitro Tech Whey Gold Protein

When it comes to protein powders, there are literally thousands on the market nowadays, but which one to choose? Here at Gymfluencers, we like to do all the research so that you don’t have to, and that’s why we gulp our way through as many products as we can to provide you with our top tips. Under the spotlight today is MuscleTech’s Cookies and Cream flavour Whey Gold Protein. Let’s get into it, shall we?

MuscleTech

Before we take a closer inspection of the product, let’s first look at the company behind it. Formed in 1995, MuscleTech is a Canadian business which first made its name after launching its trailblazing products Cell-Tech, Nitro-Tech and Hydroxycut. Since then, it has expanded into the international market, selling its protein and nutrition products in 140 different countries such as the USA, China, Australia, and, of course, the UAE. In 2016, its parent company Kerr Holdings was acquired by Xiwang Foodstuffs, a Chinese firm, for an eye-watering $584 million.

It prides itself on producing inclusive supplements which can work for everyone, whether you’re an elite athlete, weekend warrior, or just trying to stay active, MuscleTech promises to help you optimise your performance — and live the story you want to tell. It has been a major player in the supplement business for almost 3 decades, earning its place as a standard bearer in quality, innovation, volume, and global reach.

Its science-based approach is aided by a partnership with the Metabolism & Sports Science Lab at the University of Toronto, and its notable brand ambassadors include actor Henry Cavill, U.S. marathoner Ryan Hall and swimsuit model Camille Kostek.

Before you even get to the flavour, there’s an awful lot to like about this product. Each serving packs 24g of a whey protein which is further enriched with 5.5g of BCCAs and 4g of Glutamine & Precursor, which, when included in a supplement blend, is shown to lower body fat, increase muscle mass, and increase strength when combined with 12 weeks of resistance training. What’s more, it’s gluten-free and MuscleTech’s multi-phase filtration reduces fat, lactose and impurities without using heat, harsh acids or salt.

MuscleTech Nitro Tech Whey Gold Protein Review

When I first ordered this protein, I was instantly wary of the Cookies and Cream flavouring. Now, that may sound bizarre to some of you, but let me explain. While Cookies and Cream is an elite and timeless combination, often supplement companies’ attempts to recreate it lead to a sickly nightmare which tastes like nothing but cheap sweeteners. Those of you that have sampled a range of novelty flavourings will know exactly what I’m on about. Having been stung a few times, I tend to be very bland with my choice of protein, or vanilla if you’ll pardon the pun. Why? Well, because if you make the wrong choice, you can be stuck with over 2kg of protein which you’ll have to force down, and keep down, over the next few weeks.

But, I am delighted to say the team at MuscleTech have absolutely nailed it. No surprise for a company with as much industry experience as it has. The shake was smooth and creamy and you could actually identify all those nostalgic flavours which make Cookies and Cream an absolute winner. Most notably, it didn’t make me feel sick or bogged down as many other shakes do.

Price

Each 2.5kg tub will set you back 199 UAE Dirham, roughly $50, which is great value considering you’ll get 76 servings of premium protein out of it. If you order now, you’ll also get an extra 10% off for free thanks to the new bumper-sized containers.
