Gymshark Dubai Mall: A Game-Changing Move for the Global Fitness Icon
Gymshark founder and CEO Ben Francis has dropped exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the landmark Dubai Mall store launch.
In January, Ben flew out to Dubai to cut the ribbon himself and officially open the brand’s first permanent store outside the UK – a major milestone not only for Gymshark fans but for the brand as a whole.
Earlier in 2024, Ben spent time in Dubai meeting potential partners and scouting locations.
Mall of the Emirates and Jumeirah Beach were both strong contenders, but ultimately, it was Dubai Mall that stole the show – and with good reason. After all, what better place to make a global statement than the world’s largest shopping mall?
In the lead-up to the launch, Gymshark warmed up its UAE takeover with a dedicated online store tailored to the region – complete with a limited-edition range featuring Arabic calligraphy.
The brand also linked up with GymNation for a month-long campaign featuring pop-up workouts, run clubs, and, of course, a healthy dose of freebies.
Gymshark Dubai Mall: The Launch
The official grand opening took place on January 16, 2025, although a soft launch gave early fans a sneak peek in the days before.
Hundreds of Gymshark supporters turned out to witness Ben unlock the latest chapter in his entrepreneurial journey.
“I’m just really pleased to be here, because the amount of support we’ve had in the region has been outstanding,” Ben said.
“It’s a massive moment. We want to be a globally iconic brand, and to do that you have to be truly global. I think this is it for us.”
Strategically placed on the ground floor, just steps from the iconic Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, the store benefits from an immense daily footfall.
In 2024 alone, 111 million people visited Dubai Mall – up from 105 million the year before. If Gymshark can capture even a sliver of that audience, it’s set to become a serious player in the Middle East.
Gymshark Dubai Mall Opening Hours
Gymshark Dubai Mall is open daily from 10am to 11pm, extending to midnight on Fridays through Sundays.
