A gym experience like no other is set to land in Dubai.
London’s self-labelled ‘king of gyms’ is coming to the city of gold and bringing a taste of old blighty’s nightlife with it. Renowned for its blend of pumping beats, strobe lights and blood-boiling sessions, fitness studio 1Rebel has recently announced its plans for further expansion in the Middle East.
Revealing the news on its newly launched Instagram account, the brand said it will open its first UAE branch in ICD Brookfield Place in October.
According to the website, there will be three workouts to try; Ride (spin), Reshape (treadmill and weights) and 1Rebel’s first-ever open gym floor featuring cardio, resistance, free weights and a strength zone.
At many of its London facilities, 1Rebel also offers a range of further training including Reformer (pilates), Rumble (boxing) and Rig (bike, row, bench and rig), but it remains to be seen whether they will be on offer at its flagship Dubai gym.
Born in the British capital, London is home to several 1Rebel studios which you’d be forgiven for mistaking for nightclubs. It has, however, already made its mark in the Middle East, having opened a male and female facility in Saudi Arabia last year.
Confident it will be a hit with Dubai’s fitness community, the ambitious company already has its eye on a second gym in Dubai Marina. The noisy newcomers have agreed to a deal to open a studio at W Dubai – Mina Seyahi early next year. Watch this space.
